Louise Diamond’s BIO
I have lived many lives in this 60+ span of years. I’ve been a teacher, therapist, organizational consultant and trainer, healing practitioner, minister, filmmaker, professional peacebuilder, and author. I’ve worked with individuals, couples, families, organizations, communities, and nations. I have four academic degrees, including a Ph.D. in Peace Studies, and have written four books and innumerable columns and articles. I love theater, literature, and comedy.
I’ve worked in war zones all over the world, as well as with troubled youth and the terminally ill. I am a cancer survivor three times over, since 1973. I’ve midwifed births and deaths. I have a deep spiritual practice rooted in Native American and Tibetan Buddhist wisdom, with a good dollop of Christian, Jewish, and Sufi teachings as well.
The greatest joy of my life is my family – my daughter and god-daughter and five grandchildren. Also my cat and my dog. I live in the beautiful green mountains of Vermont, and have recently started wintering in the high desert of New Mexico. Every day I am grateful for the many blessings in my life. I live to love and to serve the Spirit of Peace.
